I recently filled out, what I thought was an application for employment, that I encountered on a Job board. Soon after submitting the application, I received an email that was requesting that I fill out a document on Google Documents that provided more information about myself. The document stated that I would be a personal assistant that worked roughly two days a week for a total of 10-12 hours and the pay would be $400.
A couple of days later I received a text message and an email from someone claiming to be Michael Wilson Mint from Park West Gallery Art in Michigan. He said that he had hired me and I would receive my first assignment and my first paycheck in the mail via USPS on Friday. He said that he would then give me further instructions. After confirming the email and text message I began thinking on this situation and something did not sit right with me so I began to research the name and company that I had been given. At first I didn't get many results but I added the word "scam" to my original search terms and Here I am.
