Fraudulent website posing to take your information for passport renewal. Personal Information including SSN, parents info, CC etc.

I am reporting on behalf of my 83 yr old mother who went on this site thinking she was on the US State department site to renew her passport. She paid the fee she thought included passport renewal then printed and mailed her application. The processing center returned her application stating it could not be processed due to a lack of payment. While the site does state that it is not affiliated with the US government, it is designed to look like a government site and is very misleading for the elderly or those with limited understanding of English. At this point, a refund is the least of my concerns as I am more concerned that a foreign entity now has all of my mothers PII. For this reason alone, this "Site" should be flagged and investigated.

I attempted to do a passport renewal through a government site and was redirected to pass-travel site. I processed what I thought was my passport renewal. I contacted the company and requested a full refund and they stated that they could only refund 25%. I would like a full refund.

Impersonating government website for passport renewal

- West Palm Beach, FL, USA

USAPASSPORTS.ORG is the first website on the internet when you search to renew passports. The USA makes it seems like it's a valid government agency but it's not. They claim that they will assist you in processing your passport renewal. All they do is return the application via a PDF file without processing it in any way. Waste of the $89.00 they request. They also ask if you want insurance on losing the passport, which they don't process or obtain for an additional $39.00. I did not take the insurance request. After being scammed I read the reviews which are horrendous, average of 1 of 5.

Tried to renew passport online, they took all of my personal information as well as my credit card information. This included my passport number, social security number, and credit card information.

Looked online for a way to renew my passport online. The first one on the page looked like a legit state gov. site, but is was actually a fraud site called: US Passport Apply.

I didn't realize it until I had filled in all of my info and they when I submitted it, the site wanted me to pay $49.50 with my credit card. I knew that the actual cost to renew was

$130, so I did not complete the application and did not give my credit card info. But, now these guys have my personal info incl. my SS number. I got a response from these guys

the same day and again today advising me that they needed my address, which I included on the info I filled in on their form. So, big SCAM!.

Searched for passport renewal. Clicked on what I thought was the government site. Personal info entered. Credit card declined. Started searching for signs this was a scam.
