Shortly after the shipping company emailed and said I needed to pay $800 or $650 for a Covid 19 special crate and dog could not leave until it had a new crate. Urgent because the dog needed to get on the plane. I don’t check emails every minute so they called me to tell me this. Same routine as seller. Pay zelle or what’s up app. Send confirmation. Actually said they didn’t receive my payment and said I needed to send it again. It was urgent dog needed to get on the plane.
Then on Monday I got an email that the dog made it to Denver but now needed insurance or airport in Denver wouldn’t let it get on the next plane. $1200
I texted the seller they said they were sorry but didn’t know or have the money. I said I couldn’t pay. They said the dog was under stress now. Too much time had gone by would risk dying in airport. I refused to pay.
The seller was very helpful during the process and always said they would call the shipping agency and get back to me. Of course they told me the same thing that the agency did. I refused to pay insurance and then got an email that the shipping agency would turn me in for pet abandonment.
