This dude called me up and stated he was from the USPTO and he needed 1000.00 bucks right now to get my Trademark ready or I will loose it that day. I was like ok Mr. US Trademark attorney. Here ya go. I didn't want to loose my trademark that I worked so hard for.

So a few weeks later he called me and said that someone was trying to steal my trademark and he was going to get them because I hired an attorney? I was like what. I never hired an Attorney. He was like yes you hired me I was like no I didn't and he then muffled his voice and said I am your attorney and then hung up.

Full scam with all the emails that everyone posted. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY- HE IS A FAKE!

This person, or somebody using their name, is falsely claiming to be from the USPTO. They falsely claim that an appointment has been scheduled as part of the USPTO process for trademark registration.

They falsely claim:

"Note:
This call is an important step in your U.S. trademark application process. It's part of the standard review procedure with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) – Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). The purpose is to confirm essential details and help move your filing forward without delays. If all required information is verified, your application could progress to the publication phase seamlessly."

They are using a domain and email address which appears to be designed to deceive recipients: "[email protected]"

They have falsely claimed that "U.S. Patent and Trademark Office" is the sender of the email.

A complaint has been filed with the FTC and if we find where "Mr. Matthew Howell" practices law will also file a complaint with their local Bar Agency, requesting sanctions against the sender of this email.

When I called, they sent another email pretending to confirm my email address. This email came from another email address: [email protected]

Then they started asking me for personal information. I shared the last 4 digits of my SSN, but then they asked about my driver's license, and then I got suspicious and declined to give any further information. I then disconnected the phone call.
