I signed up for a service called Path Social. They promise to get your more social media followers via Instagram but they are all fake bots. I told them I wanted to cancel my account and they put it on "pause" instead. Then after 3 months started charging my account without my consent and telling me they have the right to because of the "terms of service". I never approved this charge and I have since spoken to other small business owners and they have using these un ethical tactics one many people across America. I need your help to investigate there terms of service as I find them to be extremely predatory.

Path social targeted our company via a social ad. Their site claimed that they offer 100% authentic, relevant followers on instagram by using AI to properly target similar audiences as your competitors and gain you authentic, engaged followers. We signed up and that was not the case. We got followers but it’s clear they’re all fake, SPAM accounts. Many even have the same profile pictures. It’s ridiculous. When I reached out they didn’t want to refund because we were on the 7th day, which is how many days they guarantee a refund. Everything about this company is a fraud. They’re false advertising in all facets of their business.

Path Social is a scam and should be shut down, they promise to grow your social media with real followers and engagement, when in actuality, they create bots and load bots to follow your account daily which causes instagram to shadow-ban you. They refuse to give us our money back and all of the customer service is AI, so we cant speak to an actual human. This is affecting the legitimacy of our small business and hindering our ability to actually grow and do business on instagram. Path Social lies about what they will deliver.

nothing ever changes, always bots, from countries that I'm not even targeting, got over 3000 followers from Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan, India

and I'm targeting USA, CANADA, EUROPE AND AUSTRALIA

all followers they provide come in exactly same time, in batches 40-80 per day, all have 5-20 pictures, weird names, less than 100 followers and accounts they follow are over couple thousands

customer service is a brush off rude person. You do not get what you pay for. YOu are supposed to get organic followers and increased engagement only to get fake fake fake fake everything and NO help. This is literally false advertising and theft. I cancelled my account and they keep adding fake accounts and wont stop and keep charging my card.

Path Social markets heavily and promotes themselves all over Instagram and Facebook as a marketing company to help businesses or influencers grow their Instagram accounts using AI tactics that puts you in the forefront of your specific niche audience claiming that the followers are "REAL" and "Organic" using no fake accounts or bots. I fell for the real and organic and signed up. I can absolutely state that the followers are not real and very much fake generated accounts that are not in my niche. I have tried engaging with some of the accounts and not one response. Also many accounts will have a male images with a womans name or vice versa. Or the account has zero engagement on all of their posts or multiple pictues being posted that are the same. Path Social deletes most negative comments that are made to the social media pages. They offer a 7 day refund. However, when I signed up I never received a confirmation. I had to email to confirm. The onboarding process takes a few days in their system. I technically registered on 1/14/2024 and because I did not receive an instant confirmation after submitting payment I had to email them to see if it went through. It was a couple days later I received a welcoming email. Therefore, I missed the seven day refund policy by one day as they go by from when you register and not by when your account becomes active with them. I did some heavy research and found many complaints already with the ScamPulse.com and in one of their repsonses to a complaint they clearly state " they are often generous about refunding past the 7 days". I took a screen shot and sent ot over to them which has been dismissed entirely. I went in and canceled my account with them to end services. It states my account will be terminated January 14, 2025. That means they hold on to my personal and financial year which seems very wrong. First and formost they are misleading the public with their services and "real" and "organic". It is a lie and consumers are not getting what they pay for. I have been in contact with a few unhappy conumers as I would like to file a class action lawsuit. I believe they do not conrim your registration to throw off the seven day count. In the "welcoming" email they do not even mention the seven day refund. In all honesty, by the time you realize you are getting fake accounts your seven days is up. I have never been able to reach a live person on the phone and the emails are hit and miss to which ones they respond to. Absolutely the worst company I have ever encountered. Many others and myseld did not get what we paid for and would like our money refuneded. We are small business who thought we were going to be targeting our specific industry. All I can say is this is FAKE and truly should be shut down.

Path Social claims to send your Instagram account organic, real followers based on your desired demographics. They did send me followers, however, they were all FAKE and did not follow the demographics I asked for at ALL.

So they did not do what I paid for.

In addition, I am now having to manually remove all of these fake followers because they negatively impact the Instagram algorithm.

So, not only did I lose my money, but now I have to manually undo all of the stuff that they did.

They also refuse to acknowledge their scam, and refuse to refund my money. I am furious.

I signed up for an offer to help grow my Instagram digital creator account followers and engagement with real people not fake accounts or bots. Path Social Offered a 7 day money back guarantee if not satisfied. Having tried another company in the past for my personal account and having to delete all the thousands of fake followers, I was keenly aware of what fake accounts look like. I also received a welcome letter with suggestions for improving my account. It was obvious that this was a form letter sent to everyone who signs up because the suggestions did not apply to my account as I was currently implementing the suggestions with my social media content consultant. On the 7th day when I cancelled and requested a refund, I received an email with a discount offer and another email with another offer. I asked several times for a full refund and was told I hadn't cancelled within the 7 day window, which was not true. I have not heard back since. Please do not allow this company to continue to take advantage of people with their deceptive and unethical practices. They are scammers and must be stopped.

This service claims they can drive traffic for advertising to social media accounts. They ask for an annual sign up then after signing up, we have emailed them as well as online chat how their system showed no result, then they would email back a script that it takes a bit of time for their system to work. If we email again on the dissatisfaction, it would give us an excuse to buy more time. After we finally attempted to cancel then it would basically say their policy is 7 days and they could not refund, even tho it only has been 2 weeks of our annual pay.
