Type of a scam Employment
He wrote that he is mailing a check to me for $3800 to pay for a new wheelchair for his mother and my first week's salary. He wants me to deposit into my account as soon as I receive it. $3300 is to buy an electric wheelchair for his mom. He wrote that the the check will come with instructions. I am to purchase the wheelchair. He cannot purchase it, he wrote. He wrote that he and his mother are in Sydney.
He wrote that he wants me to meet him next Saturday and a place that I choose. He told me he will be living on "Vinton Street" in Erwin, which doesn't exist, although a Vinton Avenue exists. He would not give me the house number.
He sent a tracking number for the UPS shipment of the check / letter, but when I looked it up, it could not be found.
I haven't received the check yet.
