When I asked about what form of payment they can use they wanted wither Apple Pay or Zelle. I asked about using a credit card but they said their credit card processing systems were down.
The deal with the breeder was $800 for the puppy and $150 shipping cost would be split. That would be $875 for me to pay. That was the full cost.
Here was his comments: The process is thus, once you purchase him, I will rush to the AKC office and collect Transfer of ownership documents and fill then send for you to sign. I will also send you the guarantee form for you to sign. After which he will be waiting for his flight and be on his way. You will get a tracking number too while he is in transit
We went back and forth a bit where I refused to pay an international shipper via Zelle. Their phone only went to voicemail. The breeder asked me to post on the FB group asking for experiences they had with him. 2 accounts of suspicious nature responded with an assurance that their experience was great and all should be trusted. They said my Zelle payment would be returned back to me when I picked up the puppy at the airport. After asking more polite but direct questions they closed the post and soon after removed and blocked me from the private FB group.
The breeder who is also a member of the FB group assured me that all was legit and all his customers are happy, and my Zelle electronic ventilated crate rental fee would be refunded. He asked many times to trust him on that. I told him I needed a better guarantee than just his word. He then offered to pay half the cost. I told him I wouldn't accept the risk of losing anything more and asked him to pay for the cost himself since he would be getting it all returned anyway. He said he didn't have enough money to do that. Soon after he became unavailable in FB Messanger.
