I (foolishly) charged the shipping for a "free" hat on an advertisement I saw on Truth Social. The site offering the deal is 'Patriot Surging'. By the time I got to the checkout (after entering all my necessary personal and financial info) the page merely went to blank. There wasn't any closure of the purchase; there was no email confirmation. I emailed the addresses provided on the site; one email came back as non-existent ([email protected]), the 2nd ([email protected]) got no response.

I contacted the Credit Card company later in the day to try to ensure there wasn't anything too serious going on (fraud). They said the charge had been denied (because the 'company' is recognized as 'sketchy' I guess?) so that's good. The company name of the attempted charge didn't match the one to which I supplied my info and order... the Credit Card company stated the company was 'Express Garde' (which I've never heard of, nor can it be found).

They gave me a phone number for this shell company:

855-214-9377

but it turns up nothing/zero.

I emailed Truth Social to inform them of the really bad advertising they've got.
