I received a phone call from an unknown known number in California specifically the city Encinitas. The person said hi is this Patricia? I responded with yes and the phone disconnected. I was curious as to what company was calling me yet again, so I called the number back. When you call the number a recording picks up and says, thank you for calling if you’d like to speak to customer service press, one if you’d like to be removed from the call list press two. So I pressed one to speak with customer Service and it says thank you goodbye. There are no options to speak with anyone. This was clearly a scam to get my voice recorded, saying the word “YES”. This is concerning because now they have me recorded, saying the word yes, and can use that statement to sign up for things or be identified through voice ID. This is very concerning.
