Paul Mitchell The School advertised themselves as a premier institution to come and gain clinical hours for CÁ State Board. Manish, is a used car salesman. He lied during the school tour, especially about the technical kits we would be getting. Out of the 3 technical kits promised, we received 2. They lied and said they were brand new kits, but many people, including myself stated that if there weren’t items straight up missing, they ones that were there were rusty (rusty straight blades, clippers, shears and metal hair clips. I reported this back in December of 2021 to management at the school, which never got resolved because Sabin Parsi never ever responded to any email I sent her. The regulations around the clinical hours needed to take state board. I sought out legal advice because Sabin Parsi told us that since there was not a 1600-hr course offered anymore, everyone who enrolled would have the option to switch down to 1000 hrs or stay with the 1600. Legally, we should’ve had the choice because a change was made at a state-level, which voided the contract we originally signed. Plus with the new option being less hours, it should’ve been free to do so. But they then added that there was a cost. On top of the fact that FAFSA paid them in full, and we still owed them $4,000. When I asked for an itemized bill to show me how, they did and it still did not make sense. The tone from everyone shifted to being very nasty. There are still instructors there who are in charge of my matriculation in the program, but will not speak to me. They refuse to show or breakdown the costs and where they’re going. And then they also told us if we tried to leave Paul Mitchell for another school, that they would blackball our name to schools all over America so that we’d never be able to get licensed to do hair ever. I was fraudulently dropped from the program after the Financial Aid advisor stated via email that the form she needed to be completed needed my signature, but she just went ahead and signed it without my permission.
