I am looking for a Great Dane puppy and I thought the website was legitimate, I entered in my contact information and after some email back and forth I gave a $400 deposit for a puppy. Then they started giving options for extra money (such as meeting at the airport, etc)

Well for starters I searched great Dane puppies near me this popped up as a Google sponsored add and with all the scouring of their site it seemed legitimate. We saw a puppy we absolutely fell in love with so I pursued with the contact us button to find out where they were located bc there was no listed location on the website I received a verification through email about their business, the same 50% off story almost to a Tee that I have just found that was already reported except I got told that they had one other litter of puppies due the following month and both have other occupation so the lowered the price of their puppies by half to try to help lessen the work load for the two of them they sent me a huge questionnaire in this same email asking me if a list of questions to ensure if we were a good fit their little one like if we have ever owned this breed of dog before if we have a pool if it was fenced in etc they decided we were a good fit emailed me about the sales contract bill of sale agreement sent me the PDF of it and everything for me to print off in sign or sign from my device and email back to them it was very through and very legit it was already signed by them and a witness they then told us when asked by us about if the shipping cost was included in the price of said puppy or if we had to pay the money for shipping listed on the main website told us that the cost of shipping was included with the price of the puppy and that there were no additional costs that as we said before the only cost to you is the 600 once we have proof of that payment and the copy of the signed sales agreement we can proceed with the shipping information they also stated that they had coupons for free shipping for 3 puppies. So we decided this is a great opportunity we researched for weeks there was nothing that seemed like a red flag pointing towards a scam other than the price but with them having other full time jobs we could understand why they would want to sell the remaining puppies from the current litter at half price with another litter coming in a month breeders do do deals sometimes so we proceeded with the payment for the puppy we western Unioned the money to them with the signed contract mind you where they had left the date for when we wanted the puppy by left blank for us to fill out we dated it for two weeks after the day we were sending the payment for the puppy. I received an email the next day after no further correspondence on the shipping details that the puppy was with the shippers two weeks earlier than dated on the contract bill of sales agreement with a "tracking number" the shippers then email me saying they need 980 dollars for an airline approved shipping crate rental in order for them to board our puppy and get her to us i email back and forth with the shipping company reprisentitive freaking out bc we were told it was included in the prive of the dog they then told us the shipping part is mam but not the crate the seller didn't email me about the "crate rental and insurance" until after they had the puppy picked up by the shippers and made the insurance sound like it was renters insurance on the crate. We did not anticipate these things or costs bc to our knowledge with the payment of the puppy she'd be shipped to the airport closest to us with no further money needed so I express that we don't have that kind of money at this time we were told if we don't have the crate they can't ship the puppy we ask if we can just come get the puppy drive down there and pick her up from them meaning the shippers we were told no we need to wire the money via Western Union to them for the crate rental so we told them we would try to borrow the rental fee and asked when we needed it by they told us by tomorrow. We asked if we get the rental money to you when will the puppy ship by response if you get the rental fee to us by tomorrow the puppy will ship tomorrow we were able to borrow it and wire it that night after they picked that money up I then get a text from "the shippers" stating that my puppy now needs flight insurance in the amount of 1500 dollars are you kidding me. I call the number I have for the shipping company from the tracking and freak out was told they can't fly/ship her without the flight insurance and if we don't figure out how to get the money or if we don't send the money for the flight insurance that they were going to label our puppy abandoned and call the dog warden and send her to the shelter at this point we are emailing the breeders/sellers non stop freaking out bc we asked 3 different time about additional costs before sending them the payment for the puppy and telling them what the shippers are saying and freaking out about these additional costs and asking them if it's a mistake no response until about an hr later after I flat out tell them the shipping company was going to label her abandoned and send her to the pound and asking if that happens if they would contact us being as the puppy is supposed to come micro chipped in my name was told no of them do that the puppy becomes their property they will not contact you. Then we ask the shipping company if they could ple[censored]d the puppy for us for two weeks so we can get the money they said they would but after seeing the report with almost the same reasoning on the price of the puppies we are now more heart broken and stressed out we did so much research the website is copyrighted the ad was sponsored on Google and they had good reviews their information on the breed their company and everything was very through on the website it's so sad
