I received an email from an unknown email telling me that I had been charged $441.98 using Paypal and if I disagreed with this charge, to call 213-438-9924 and speak wtih their customer service. I called the phone number and spoke with a woma who stated her name was Allie Johnson (heavy Asian accent) and told me to go to drto.info to check where the charge was listed from. When I tried to use my Smartphone, she said that I needed to go to my personal laptop to see where the charge is listed. The woman gave me her personal phone number of 847-787-6742 and said she would call me tomorrow at 12N to use my personal laptop. After I hung up with her, I was very suspicious that this was a scam. I knew I had not made any such payment using Paypal for that large amount and wanted to report this scam to the BBB.
