Type of a scam Identity Theft
I took my Laptop in to have a "Power Plug" replaced. This was 4 weeks ago yesterday and was there on Wednesday as well! After I was called for the $8.00 replacement part. I brought the Laptop home after paying $70.25 for the repair and a $10.00 tip! I did not open it until the next day. It was only then I found this old windows 8 system had Icons on it that did not belong. Additionally, after removing those icons and what I could, it was set -up to automatically connect to the internet! Being an older system Jason KNEW this was not used on-line as I told him! After further inspection and the system not working right, I took the cover off to inspect the Hard drive? It was only then I realized this Hard Drive had been replaced with a "Different" hard drive than the original one! This system had zero software problems prior to this! THE ORIGINAL hard drive had 50 pictures and 37 videos removed or deleted? THUS, this was when I removed the cover for inspection! These "Photos & Videos" were the data I had collected since 2009! These were NOT just any pictures! These were Paranormal Pictures & Videos I was preparing to submit to Copyright them! Not only did they remove the "Administrative" Password to obtain access to the desktop! They stole the Drive & the Data! They did have my name and Copyright@2002 ! I cannot put an amount on this lost data over scrupulous deeds of others! They are priceless and meant for me! I also had them marked as Read Only! For me and others, it is obvious I could not restore the data since the Drive was replaced without my consent too! So they stolen the drive, stole the data and put in a sub-standard drive! I know this since he had "2" others in the shop "That He Showed Me!" What else had been done? These are the facts! ANY Advanced Tech from Microsoft would be able to prove this ( on the current drive anyway!) Thank you for your time ! Any further queries? Please ask! I am not concerned about the amount paid for the repair! I AM concerned about the Theft of Intellectual Property -Personal Intellectual Property !
