I saw a Wayfare ad on Facebook Marketplace that advertised a piece of furniture at a flash sale price of $69.80 so I thought it was the real Wayfare. I purchased one piece of furniture and got two seperate email receipts for 2 of the items that said they charged my PayPal account but I didn't have a PayPal account and they took the money from my actual checking account. The receipts looked like legit PayPal receipts. My card was charged under the name *Orent Orent. I immediately knew it was fishy so I called Wayfare to cancel the order and they confirmed that it was not their business that had that sale and I was likely scammed so I gave them the info I had about the scam and they reported it to their fraud department.

Upon my further investigation I found the company name as Peak Outfits International Trade Co., Limited. They even provided an email to contact them which a emailed 3 times and got no response. I notified my bank and was only able to get back the amount of one of the charges covered by my bank and lost out on the price of the other charge to my account.

Needless to say I never received either item nor have I been contacted by the fraudulent(scam) company.

Beware the phony sales on social media market places. In my case I found this one on Facebook.
