Pearson and Associates Reports & Reviews (1)

I received a call from a blocked number. The person said we had a judgement pending against us and that we were about to be server legal papers. They gave me a phone number to call and a reference number. I called the number and spoke to a person who gave the name Thomas Engram. He said is was part owner, manger, supervisor, office manager. He said I have an outstanding debt with USAA and gave me the outstanding balance for $2904 (includes legal fees). He told me that there was a chance we could stop it from going to the court for "mandatory, involuntary recover" if I setup a payment plan today with him. I told him to collect the information about the court that it was filed at. He said he would track that down and call me back.

In the meantime, I pulled my credit report and called the court in my county. There was never an account open for USAA on my report and there is no pending law suit against me according to the county clerks office.

I called him back and pressed him for more information and he assured me that there must have been some mistake and that they would "investigate this further with legal." This is totally a scam.
