Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was buying a French Bulldog (Frenchie) puppy from a breeder called "Blissful Homes" in Tulsa, OK. On the day of delivery, they sent me to a travel site, Pet Movers International (https://petmoverinternational.com), to track the process. Only the shipping company emailed me saying that "Due to the fluctuation of climate and taking into consideration that the weather condition, Precipitation, humidity and wind condition is completely different from where the puppy was living" they would need to charge me $30 for rental crate and $970 for a "CAUTION FEE!"
Both breeder and Pet Mover claimed that the $970 refundable upon delivery of the puppy. However, conveniently Pet Movers International then states, "Our online payment system is down at the moment so we will accept payment via Zelle." Unlike with credit cards you can't dispute a Zelle payment. In the email from Pet Movers International, they try to bully the buyer into sending $1,000 via Zelle by saying, "pet abuse and abandonment is a criminal offense in the US and one may be fined or jailed for it."
Clearly a scam. AVOID BOTH!
