I had adopted a cat through a breeder I found online. The told me the cat was going to be coming through a delivery service which I agreed to. The delivery service told me to just pay for the crate rental fee which was 500$ and then when that was paid for the told me there was one more fee that was for pet insurance for about 1,999. After that they told me i needed an accommodation fee because the cat had to stay a few nights. Another 500$ when I paid that they told me i had to pay for a shot for the kitten which is onther 1,500$. Again a feed and accommodation fee because it took me 5 days to get the money so its another 980$ to proceed with delivery.

They had many posts on their Facebook page Love Lead Labradors about puppies available. I first spoke to Tatianna Wright on Facebook messenger before moving to a phone number that is on google voice (865) 674-5199. Tatianna had me send $450 as a deposit by Apple Cash pay to +1 (312) 483-7020. Then the final payment of $450 to supposedly her husband Syrus S. by Apple Cash pay to (773) 520-2333. On the day of pick up she messaged me saying the puppy had an infection and needed to go to the vet. I would have to pay $650 more so the vet bill could be paid and the puppy could come home. I refused and she would not acknowledge my request for a refund or to pick up the puppy as is.

The pet scammer, Finex, does not have a physical address or phone. You reach them by an online form and then they email you.

I appealed immediately to PayPal when I realized I had been scammed and the seller no longer responded to my emails, but PalPal said they spoke to the seller? How? Even PayPal was scammed so the "merchant" continues to collect money from victims.

I was trying to adopt a puppy and was told it would be a certain amount. I paid the amount through Zelle. The morning of the so called shipping I received a fake tracking number and then they asked for more money for insurance purposes. I paid that with gift cards. Then they told me they needed more money for something else and I said no.

Made a deposit to adopt a bird. Made the deposit then tried to get more money for pet travel but wouldn't use a protected method of payment, then refused to give back my deposit

Thanks for getting back to me about my puppies.

Was under the impression we were placing a deposit on a puppy to be picked up at the end of July

Offers African grey birds that are babies. He wants a deposit then the remaining money. He sends a phony invoice and shipping tracking from a company called EMS live stock logistics

I was contacted by them through Facebook about selling a puppy, I was sent pictures of the dog, told it was registered, sent a deposit to get the dog, was told they were on their way and here then was blocked.

I was messaged, by who was an admin of a Facebook group called “Rottweiler puppies in PA, VA, LA, TX, NY, NC & SC” by the name of “Kay Bee” who sent me images of having an AKC registration and of the dog, who took a deposit, had me fill out a paper, and claimed to have been showing up with the dog yet blocked me on Facebook Messenger when claiming they were on their way.

From the Facebook group, Shih tzu’s for adoption by Joseph L Vandyke I contacted him via Messenger to inquire about a shih-tzu. He kept asking for the $400 deposit. He ended up calling me through messenger and that was the aha moment. His accent did not match his picture. I finally said I would drive to Philly and bring all the cash. Again, he wanted a deposit to hold her. I said I’d take my chances and bring all the cash and then was cut off. He apparently takes his Facebook account up and down. I caught him trying to sell them again and I kept replying scammer until he blocked me.

Person has a fb group for Scottish fold kittens for adoption. Once you contact them they will send you pictures. You agree on a kitten, then paid for kitten. Then fake shipping company contacts you and you pay for shipping. Cat is never delivered, pretty sure all fake names, websites, and more. I feel like more than one person is involved.

On May 22,2023 I contacted Chalotte Amelia about some French Bulldog puppies that she posted for sale on the FaceBook page French Bulldog Puppies For Adoption and Rehoming. Via FaceBook Messenger, she told me that she had one white male and one blue (gray) female. She sent me a video and photo of the blue female (whom she'd named Elsa) and mentioned that there were other people interested in her. I said that I would not be able to pick her up until June 13 to which she replied that she can not guarantee that "Elsa" would still be available at that time, but if I put down a $500 deposit and signed a contract she would hold her for me. I signed the contract and made the deposit via Zelle. The next day I contacted her about the puppy, wondering what type of food she eats and she answered me promptly. On May 29, 2023 I asked for an updated photo/ video and how big the puppy will be when I come to pick her up. I hadn't heard back from her on May 31 so I asked the same questions again. Several hours later she still hadn't replied so I checked the address on the contract to find that property is owned by JZ Full House Full Hearts, LLC. I then texted and called the phone numbers listed on the contract (303-880-1758 and 314-401-4927). The first number (303 area code) was no longer a valid number but was registered to a 52 year old man. The second number (314) was registered to a 19 year old boy and I was able to leave a message. Still being nervous about the transaction, I told my mom about the situation and she contacted Chalotte Amelia pretending to be interested in the dog. When Chalotte Amelia tried to sell the exact same dog to my mom, I knew something wasn't right. I told Chalotte that I was nervous this was a scam. When I contacted the admin of the FaceBook group I was almost immediately blocked on Chalotte Amelia's personal FaceBook page and the group (French Bulldog Puppies for Adoption And Rehoming) FaceBook page. All of the admin members then proceeded to leave the FaceBook messenger conversation and blocked me on their own personal pages as well. The conversation thread between Chalotte Ameila and me as well as the conversation thread with Chalotte Amelia and my mom, and the message I sent to the admin of the FB page are all attached.

He had puppies posted for sale all border collies. Several phone calls and texts were made to arrange purchase of puppy and transport arrangements. He was requesting full payment. When he was told he was coming up as a scammer on Google he brushed it off. He was asked for a contract and paperwork which he stated was on his website which it was not. He then said he would text paperwork which never happened. His site says you can see the puppy's by appointment. When we tried to set up an appointment he never responded back.

I found an ad on Facebook, advertising yorkie puppies needing

rehoming. At a reasonable cost. I messaged the person who posted the ad. Come to find out the real person had her Facebook hacked. She has tried to report it to Facebook, but hasn’t been able to contact them to report what is going on with her account. I meet the person whose account is being used. I was not the first person to show up at her residence looking for a puppy.

She suggested I try contacting Facebook and to file a police report.

At first the amount was a down payment of $150.00, then $117.00 for vet. Visit with first round of puppy shots. Then it was more money to cover puppy it’s self. Then I was told it was another $102.00 for additional vaccine. Adding to all this I was told to send a3 day holding fee, due to not picking up puppy on first day I contacted the person I had been messaging with. Now out all the money for a puppy I don’t have. It has cost me more than money.

I had a severe anxiety attack, shortness of breath, a migraine and nausea for being so upset over the stress related to this incident. On top of that my husband doesn’t know how much money I lost in the scam.

At one point in the process I was asked to fill out an adoption application, I know at shelters and rescues they ask for such information. I gave information, such as name, address, phone number. So some of my information is out there. I was asked for a correct address, they must have tried something, because they wanted a different address. My address is not listed in GPS, map quest or most driving directions. We live on a road that is not verifiable because of its location. We use a P.O. Box to get packages and mail.
