I was emailing back and forth with Naomi Scott about the Pet Sitter job and did not come across this page until I searched her husband's name (David Hulet). When I initially searched Naomi Scott, this did not come up. My emails and job description looked exactly the same as the ones posted on here and red flags that I should have noticed were that she never gave a specific address they were moving to, she mentioned but never followed through with talking on the phone and was overall pretty vague. It sounds like these people send a check upfront to "buy supplies" and then ask you to use Zelle or Cash app to buy said supplies out of pocket (to supposedly be reimbursed by the check) but then the check does not go through and you lose money. Do not trust Naomi Scott and David Hulet, they may be on PetSitter.com under a different name but the email she used for me was [email protected].

Ok, we got the same emails and by chance, I Googled her phone number and found this. I'm curious, to what end are they doing this? What do they gain? They send a fake check, then what?

+2

they send the fake check and if you deposit it they ask you to transfer a portion of it to someone else and then a few days later after you've authorized the transactions the check bounces and you lose whatever you sent

Looks like I got the same job as all of you did! Can’t believe it I almost got tricked. Doesn’t sound like things get fishy until they bring out the money, because the email is fairly legit. Anyway, everyone beware of “pregnant Naomi and her husband David.”

+4

Now that i have found these i will not be flashing their check when they send it. They are fraudulent. Thank you all for the help! I was sent the same exact emails! same exact photos as you all!

+5

Their new email for means of this bs is: [email protected], they have the same number as listed on this site.

I had Naomi Scott and her husband David Alan hulet do the same thing to me! I was so stupid, I cashed the check but then their account got closed? or something like that, I had just filed a complaint with pet sitter.com but I literally received the same photos and same messages as you all did... I am scared !

+4

were you able to get your money back? How do they keep doing this , I filed with petsitter too and they took down the account page

Dont trust Naomi and her husband David for dog sitter. They must sent me a check for 2.480. When I started to ask questions she never replied.

So. This lady Naomi Scott and her Husband Dave whatever, they posted on my local pet sitter site they needed a pet sitter for their German Shepard named Jeff and Husky named Busta. She said Jeff was a “naughty dog.” They offered me $35 an hour to walk the dogs and brush them. She sounded legit. Even went ahead and sent me photos of the dogs. Said they’d be needing kitchen appliances, dog food and a dog brush before they came so they sent me a check worth $2480.00. I did deposit it, but I felt weird so I called and had it cancelled after finding other people complaining. They wanted me to cash app some dude handling the appliances as soon as the check cleared but absolutely needed this done immediately. They told me to keep some extra money for my trouble. I confronted her and she hasn’t messaged me back.

I originally emailed a poster on Petsitters.com as I was looking for a dog walking job. After several emails I was sent a check of $2480. This seemed fishy so I looked online and found others with the same experience.

I was sent the same messages and pictures ! I cashed that check not knowing that people are [censored]ing psychos out there.

I found an online job posting for a dog sitter for a woman claiming to be "Naomi Scott". She claimed that she and her husband would be moving to my area from NYC (originally from South Africa) and would need someone to watch their two dogs, a german shepherd and a husky. We exchanged information about the job through email for a couple weeks until they were about to move in. The emails were legitament enough for an independent dog walker position and she sent convincing photos. Then, I received a convincing check in the mail for $2,480 from the husband's company (Pelliconi) when I was only expecting $200 to be my first payment. She informed me that the extra money was to pick up dog food and other necessities for their home to be ready when they arrived. She told me to deposit the check that day and to forward the money to a family friend so that I did not need to pick out the items myself. Cashapp recognized the scam immediately and blocked the nearly $1000 payment I tried to send initially but Zelle, through my bank (USAA), did not and I sent nearly $1000 before cutting off communication because I finally felt too uncomfortable with the situation. The check bounced the next week and the full amount was taken from my account plus a fee for the fake check. That was all the money I had, I was desperate for the job due to COVID and being a full time college student. Initially I expected my bank to help because I had been scammed before but I did not know that I would be held responsible for the fake check and zelle would not be able to retrieve the money. I feel violated and betrayed and I am worse off than when I was searching for the job.

I saw an job posting for a pet sitter so I sent an email to the email that was listed ([email protected]). 5 days later they emailed me back and it was very long and detailed. The person emailing me was the wife, Naomi, and she described her husband, herself, and the dogs. They live in New York and her husband, Dave, got a contract with his company and they are relocating to "my area." Naomi is 6 months pregnant and have 2 dogs. She included a whole paragraph describing the dogs. They are gonna move in a few weeks and are delivering the dogs by air and they are driving from New York. The dogs are coming a day before them so she wanted me to buy dog food, brushes, etc. for the dogs. She then asked me about myself so I replied with more information about me. Then she sent another email that was long and even sent pictures of herself and the two dogs. They were gonna send a check that was more than the rate they were offering to pay, due to the supplies I would need to get. She then says that the financial clerk will need my address and phone number.

I saw a posting on PetSitters.com and was told that her (Naomi Scott) and her husband (David Alan Hulet) were relocating from New York and her husband's company was paying part of the relocation costs including to bring me on as she was 6 months pregnant. I was then told, after I got a $2480 check in the mail to Zelle $2200 of it to an appliance store manager (Brandon Milanes) for new appliances and after thinking that the check had cleared I sent that access money and then found out the check had been returned as it was fraudulent.

OMG I cannot believe I almost fell for the same thing. She told me the exact same story and I almost fell for it but I noticed something very strange in all our conversations so I backed out.
I'll be reporting this as well.

I signed up on petsitter.com and filled out the entire profile and hit a point that it asks for $23 to post your profile. Not a big deal I could make that in a day or two so I pay the $23. Low and behold within a few hours I have a message pop from someone who is interested, but it's not any of the people I have messaged that are local looking for care. Its a message from a woman named Hannah who lives in Florida who needs help with her pekingese. The messages from the app are mysterious gone but I have emails and text messages to share:

June 17th

Hello *.,

I just want to make it clear, The check I'm sending will come in the amount of $2250, $380 goes for your first week upfront payment to have you secured for this position and you remember I mentioned errands, it's not something much, you'll just help me pay for the dog's utility supplies.

I'll be looking forward to your email soon to ensure everything is clear so I can forward your information.

I hope to hear from you as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Hannah S.

This isn’t making sense, the amounts don’t add up correctly and I’m not sure what pet supplies you would need that add up to $1800.

I would gladly help you if you would like to meet in person on the 25th when you arrive. I have no doubts that I would be able to obtain the items you need for Cookie within an hour or two of our meeting.

The restaurant I like to meet at is called ______  *** XXX * *** Rd, Rochester, NY. We can meet in the 25th just let me know what time. Please hang on to the check until we meet in person.

Thank You,

*. *.

I have never heard from her again. I did however before finishing this conversation start with this next one and then I quickly realized I had been duped and this is a scam site and all the legitimate jobs are listed on other pages that's why they never reply.

Hello,

My name is Celia (31 years) and my husband's name is Joshua (39) he's from South Africa, we are easy going and very kind. I'm a bit hard of hearing but I hear pretty well with my cochlear implant. We need a caregiver for our two Dogs (Alpha and Scott), this position could be permanent or temporary depending on your availability. I'm moving with my husband to your area, he just got promoted and transferred from his place of work, and I won't be able to do some things with my Fur Babies because I'm 6 Months pregnant, I and my husband have been married for 6 years and this is going to be our first child and we want everything to move smoothly till I put to bed. Our furry babies are friendly, Alpha (1 years, 2 months) is a German shepherd, Josh got him in London and he is considered our first child while Scott is a Labrador Retriever, 1 years 8 months, he's friendly and loves to play our second child. They are not aggressive and not temperamental around other dogs but Scott can be naughty sometimes.... Lol, they are quite spoiled and very adorable but Alpha has a run that he is hooked up to when the chickens are out but when they're roosting he has a free range of many miles. They both receive Bark-boxes every month and allowed on all furniture in our home despite Scott's shedding. They've truly been one of the greatest blessings in my life and I'm very fortunate that Josh loves them as much as I do.

We'd need you to brush their coats and take them for walks at least once a week, they are well trained and won't give you any problem, I can manage with their feeding and when ever you come around you can also feed them. We would be happy if you'd love them like we do. They're quite adorable, our babies will be arriving a day before us and my husband wouldn't mind to pay you to secure your service before our arrival as well as for you to get some dog food, brush and other things needed for them.

You'll be working for 3 days a week for at least three hours a day/ 9 hours a week, we'd prefer to have fixed days but we can be flexible if your weekly schedule changes, just let us know ahead of time. You'll be coming to our house to look after the dogs.. We are willing to pay $35 per hour for both dogs. We'd need to know the days you'd be available.

What is your zipcode so we can calculate your transportation cost if needed?

Terms - 3 DAYS FOR THE TOTAL OF 9 HOURS WEEKLY (3 HOUR DAILY)

Between 3pm and 10pm

I hope you have read and understood all I have written as I want things to be done with sincerity and done the way I ask you to please, I'm very pleasant and show people around me that same gesture. I'd love to know more about you.

However, you can let me know the time and days you will be available..

I will be waiting to hear from you.

Regards
