This person posted a job application on LinkedIn. Then proceeded to tell me the application was closed, and that there was another position available. I emailed that position available my résumé, and the person offered me a job. The person started to become sketchy so I googled them and found it was a scam.

I was contacted after applying to a job posting on LinkedIn for a receptionist I got an email back from a employer based email from the original poster (an accredited doctor at this office) informing me that the job was filled but a partner on the board of directors was looking for an assistant with an email to contact. I was instantly asked for my resume and then offered the job. They then asked what my address, full name and occupation was. Offering 1200$ every 2 weeks for pay. I was promised an interview in 2 weeks when he returned from business out of town. Before the 2 weeks was up I was offered the job, given an offer letter and rushed into signing. Given the phone number and told I needed to start before the end of the week. I couldn’t find anything online about this John Phillips who claims to be on multiple boards and run multiple non profits. Something seems really off and then saw another poster saying they had got scammed by this “posting” as well.
