I received a text from someone saying he was Andrew B*** regarding Phillips Product Testing Program. I have done a couple of product tests in the past and thought maybe it was related. He said I had applied for the program and he send a package with instructions and mentioned $800. That was a red flag because I don't believe any legitimate company would pay that much for a test. But I replied I would watch for the package.

I receive the USPS Priority envelope and it had a check for $1400 and instructions to by gift cards and then send picture of the card #'s with pin codes showing that I was to scratch off. That was a much bigger red flag since I had read scams that send official looking checks that may at first clear the bank but later they are determined to be fake and you lose the money you used to buy the gift cards.
