I posted my car for sale on Kijiiji. After communicating with me (very respectfully) the person urged me to get him/her a vehicle report using my VIN. He said I should go to a certain website called: autopapers.ca. I very foolishly did this and paid for, what looked to be, a totally legitimate report. It was shown as $89.99 and came up, on the VISA, as 123.47 CAD payable to WIRELESS DANBURY,CT.. I assumed it was an American site and at first I assumed it was fine. Over the course of a few hours, more people were looking for reports and trying to get me to use other sites. This is when I realized it was all a fraud. I cancelled the credit card that same day. I felt very sick about it. As well, the person knew where I lived because I gave my address since he/she was "coming" to see the car. I made sure to write back and let them know my cousin would be there and could perhaps show the car. I will give the the person's cell number that I had as well as the email (I had to send the fake report by email). It is: 1-873-738-0190. The email was: [email protected].
