Scammer sends hand-written envelope with no return address.

Inside is a printed email with a hand-written sticky note attached.

Email says that the target individual’s home warranty coverage was not activated. It includes the correct address and name of the targeted individual. Mistakenly, the email is both sent to and addressed from Emily Smith.

The sticky note claims to be written by Emily, and requests the target call her immediately.

The scam appears to target new homeowners.
