A female called and said someone would come to my home to serve a complaint in 30 minutes to 1 hour. Said someone filed a complaint against me for fraud. I told her I was not home and she said nobody could sign for the papers but me. She gave me a phone number to call about it 844-681-0806 and a claim number. I felt sure it was a scam but called the number later that day. The same female answered but a rude man told me I owed $4,522 for a Direct Merchant MasterCard from 2015. He said if it went to court I would owe double! When I disputed the claim he very rudely kept saying "go to court". I told him I would definitely be there. He said the lawsuit papers would be mailed to me. I asked him what happened to me having to sign for them? He hung up on me! The part that has me so concerned is when I called back the female asked for the claiim number to loók it up and told me what my SS# is.
