I received an e-mail that thanked me for renewing my subscription for 4 years for $299.48. "Product: Music Application (In-App Purchase)" No company was mentioned in the e-mail. I called the phone number listed (818-848-8462), and a man answered. I asked what company had sent me the e-mail. He finally said that the company was Geek Squad (a branch of Best Buy). I replied to the e-mail, telling them I refused the upcoming subscription and to not charge me. "If you need assistance, reach out to our Helpdesk with your ID: *************@*****.com" [That is my correct e-mail address.] So, perhaps they just wanted me to click on my e-mail and doing so would have triggered a download of malware. I don't know. However, everything about the e-mail and the "company" I reached with the phone number in the e-mail is fishy. Thank you.
