I received an email from [email protected] saying a invoice had to be paid invoice $775 invoice 0104 to call 805-500-8614 if I don't recognize. I went on my PayPal app and there was no such purchase. This was at top of page (Hello, [email protected])

Email said to be form PayPal about cryptocurrency and a charge of over 900$ on my PayPal with a phone number to call.

Fake phone number, webpage is down now. This is more of a warning that they are getting better if it came directly from a verified email account.

Received an email from Paypal:

"Account Message: Recently, $883.75 was logged with a new profile. If not yours, reach out at (805) 500-6214. If fine, you may ignore. Auto pending bill accepted from this account. Your New Account added you to the Crypto Wallet account. Use this link to finish setting up your profile for this account. The link will expire in 24 hours."

I looked up the phone number and found the other scams with the same number on BBB. I will be deleting the email. Do not click that link or call that number.

The email is from paypal (verified) but was sent to a different email address and then bounced to me. The point of the scam is to try to get you to call a phone number in text that is user (not paypal) generated.
