I received an unsolicited call from a woman telling me I was eligible for a back brace fully covered by Medicare. The caller ID showed INOVA Health, a reputable Northern Virginia healthcare system. As I had just had my annual physical with them, I answered the phone. The caller stated that I had recently complained about lower back pain, and they were calling to say that i was eligible for a back brace that would be fully covered by Medicare. I asked who they represented or were affiliated with, but she wouldn't give a clear answer other than Patient Care Services (?). Background noise at the other end sounded like a call center. I told them I was not interested and hung up the phone.
