After a while, things seemed strange. I would often get emails from his "management", which seemed to be Pitchfork. They would send me emails with updates, but they would try to take as much money from me as possible. Promises weren't being met, and they constantly kept delaying what they promised me if I didn't make a certain payment. I have documentation of all the documents they sent me, and how none of it added up. Their "delivery" team reached out to me and had me pay what they called a "delivery fee", and they still refused to send me what I had paid for if I didn't pay for something else. Essentially, I paid everything they asked of me, and I feel guilty and ashamed for falling for it. I did some research on the editor that supposedly reached out to me, and sure enough I found his Twitter account, which seemed to be his real account. He had tweeted a couple days ago that there was someone on Instagram impersonating him and direct messaging musicians. He said on his Twitter account that he doesn't have a personal Instagram account, and that he would never ask for payment from artists. He also said he would never reach out to artists via DM. So after I asked the imposter on Instagram if it was really him, that was when he went MIA and blocked me. He said he'd get me a "refund" but he didn't. Neither did his "management". I need your help. Please help me on taking these guys down. They could be doing this to other small musicians, and they don't deserve it. I have proof of everything.
