Received a phone call from 708-760-3330 multiple times where they leave a message stating they are looking for financial information for a loan I applied for which I have not applied for any loans. The number that she gave to call back was 877-867-5139. The beginning always cuts the name off on who is calling but it is always the same voicemail message left.

I received a call from the following number: 807-877-5647. However the number she provided was 877-867-5139. Voicemail left by “Jessica” wanting to finalize my loan application; looking for information about my income. No company name, and I didn’t apply for any loan. I’ve been getting voice mails like this for a long time, not always from the same number.

- Washington, DC, USA

Received a letter addressed to the homeowner using their name and address in the mail for the 2nd time noting that they are a private lender and requesting my family member to contact them regarding their mortgage payment using a property code given. The letter and the envelope notes that the information requested is TIME SENSITIVE.

The telephone number to call them on is 1.888.551.1135

A non- negotiable blank check was attached along with the letter for the amount of $199.00. The documents note that they are not affiliated with a private lender.... (?)

Posting again to share another number scammer used. Received multiple calls, typically once a week for months now. Occasionally from the same number until I block it, then they’ll start calling from a different number. Voicemails are always exactly the same and you can tell they’re playing a recording each time. I’ve saved multiple voice messages and played them one right after another and discovered that everything from the content of their message/words used, tone of voice, inflection, etc. is exactly the same in each one. They use two variations of the same message but certain portions where the wording is the same are spoken in the exact same manner (again same tone, same inflections). A transcription of the first message I received is: “Hi, this is Jessica from the loan approval team. I'm calling regarding your loan inquiry. We’ve almost finished processing your loan but we need to verify a few details specifically about your income. Please return my call at 877-867-5139, ideally before 5 PM Pacific time today. When you call mention your application ID: A as in apple, H as in hotel, Z as in zebra, 3 4 5 7 8 again that is A as in apple, H as in hotel, Z as in zebra, 3 4 5 7 8. My number is 877-867-5139 and your application ID once again, is A H 7 3 4 5 7 8. I'm looking forward to getting this wrapped up for you. Talk soon, thank you.”

Another version I’ve received is: “Hey there, this is Jessica again from your loan processing team. I've been trying to reach out to you regarding your loan application, but we haven't been able to connect yet. We just need to verify a few final details, mostly related to your income and a few other minor items just to complete your approval. Could you please return my call at 877-867-5139, it would be ideal if we could finalize this before 5 PM Pacific time today. However if you’ve changed your mind, would like to cancel your application, or no longer wish to proceed, please feel free to let us know as well. When you give us a call back make sure to mention your application ID just for a faster process. Your application ID is A as in apple, H as in hotel, Z as in zebra, 3 4 5 7 8. Once again that number is A as in apple, H as in hotel, Z as in zebra, 3 4 5 7 8. And also just a reminder my number is 877-867-5139. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon, thank you so much, and have a wonderful day.”

The message seems to vary only depending on the number they call from. (i.e., one number leaves the first version on every voicemail, a different number may use the second version, a third number may use the first version, etc.)

I received a call from the phone number 623-499-3129, where the caller posed as a representative of First American Home Warranty (FAHW). They claimed they were contacting me in response to a complaint I had filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The caller falsely asserted that the property under my home warranty contract could not be covered because the contract was "illegal."

The call was suspicious because:

The tone and manner of the caller did not align with the professional conduct I would expect from FAHW.

They attempted to use alarming language to justify their claims but refused to provide any written confirmation or documentation of their assertions.

This interaction seemed intended to undermine my complaint and avoid resolving the legitimate concerns I raised with FAHW.

I believe this was a fraudulent attempt to exploit my ScamPulse.com complaint and discredit my concerns. The fact that they contacted me pretending to represent FAHW adds to the deceptive nature of this interaction.

They tried to say they were from Xfinity and somehow they knew the tracking number of a recent phone purchase. They said they mistakenly sent the wrong phones and that I needed to send the ones I received back so they could send me the correct phones. They said the phones that were sent to me were not under the promo that I purchased them as. I logged into my Xfinity account to confirm the phones were still showing up as they should have.

Insung Cho as an employee of Korean Embassy called and asked for my email address to access Emergency Notice while he is on the phone. I received an email from gmail account, and tried to access 5 docs by entering my Korean SSN. Due to the urgency, they said I'll receive another call from Korea. When a new person from 82-2-3480-2140 called, and asked my name, address and DOB to start communication, I had to stop the call.

Discovered:

1) Insung Cho I spoke with is not an employee of Korean Embassy.

2) The link they provided was not an official link from the mentioned government.

I was told all businesses are to file a FINCEN report before January 1 2025. Google brought me to Boir.com and I sent in my business information and drivers license. They stole $349 directly from an ACH to my business account. I have tried to contact them three times with no response.

The scammer called and left a message on our answering machine. She said that this message was solely intended for "Corma Corma", that she was calling from the office of Ryan Adams. She said that there were Sales Documents that required my signature immediately, and said that they would come by between the hours of 12-5 and that I would need 2 forms of valid ID and a witness. They would stop by my work first, and if they did the witness would have to be my boss, a supervisor, or someone from HR. For more information, they said to call 844-280-1856.
