I am waiting for a package supposedly being delivered from usps when i got a message from "them". i checked safari to see if maybe it was a scam and to my surprise I saw a photo that showed a message identical to one i got. I decided to report it in case it is a scam. i wasn't able to plug in all of my information so I hope i don't get scammed. it was asking for a $0.30 redelivery fee and i saw that for usps they ask for a tracking number first and offer free redeliveries. I just do not want to be scammed.

I keep receiving texts coming from an email that claims to be from the USPS stating I have a packaged being held in customs but the zip code is invalid and a link with instructions is provided. I have not replied or clicked on any link and I have deleted the messages. I do have a package awaiting delivery that is in Jamaica, NY that came from overseas however I suspect this is not related to my package.

It’s not the actual USPS website but it asks for me to put in my name, address, phone number, and email. I have USPS account and that site definitely is not USPS.

I received the text and suspected fraud. I deleted it without contacting them.

It stated that I had to contact USPS to give them my zip code because I had a package held in customs.

It contained a website for me to go to that didn’t look right and the text came from a random email address.

The scammer is posing as the USPS and asking for personal information along with a link

They texted me saying "The USPS package has arrived at the warehouse and cannot be delivered due to incomplete address information. please confirm your address in the link within 12 hours. I clicked the link because i had a package coming soon so i thought it was real i then put in my name, address, postal code, email, and telphone. then it asked for a fee for redeliver and then i stopped since postal services don't usually ask for a fee.

I received a text message allegedly from the USPS saying a package had arrived at a center but could not be delivered due to "incomplete information". There was also a link included in the message that took me to a very official-looking website with the USPS logo. Since I had been waiting for a package, I entered in my address as well as credit card information without scrutinizing it appropriately first. When the credit card number and info is entered, an error message pops up saying "card could not be processed, please try again or use another card." Without thinking, I entered in a couple different card numbers, not realizing it was a scam until it was too late. I was able to cancel those cards immediately before any fraudulent purchases were made, but I could see other individuals easily falling victim to this trap, especially elderly individuals, since the site it brings you to looks quite legitimate.

They texted me as USP. S, but gave me a clearly fake link, asking for eighteen cents as a redelivery fee

- Denham Springs, LA, USA • Apr 15, 2024

I got a text to my phone from a number area code 582 saying that I have a package from the United States postal service that was attempted delivery twice but it had address issues... they wanted me to go click on a link on the text and it went straight to a website that looked like the United States postal service it showed a tracking number for the package and so forth they wanted information name address phone number to get it redelivered I would have had to provide a credit card for payment in order to update the information to retrieve the package.. so when I deleted the website from the browser and try to reengage it under the website I was on it showed error you cannot go back on it once you delete it .. again it was sent by text and not by email how they got my number I have no idea..
