I as a 70 year old senior was trying to change my address. I pressed on a scammer site not knowing. As soon as no confirmation popped up and regions called me to ask if i charged 179.00 I said NO. They canceled my debit card and ask me to show proof. All i had was my account deduction. This is saddening that I got scammed that much money from my SS monthly check which isn't much..

"USPS"sent text indicating package was undeliverable and asked for address. Also said following "(Please reply Y, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link, or copy the link and open it in your safari browser). The USPS team wishes you a wonderful day!" Spouse provided our address.

I had a text message regarding a package I purchased, telling me that my address was unknown and I needed to update my address. It asked for my address, email address, and phone number. I put in the information but noticed the at there was no submit button. The links that redirected back to the official USPS website and the "https" made me believe that it was real.

I thought this was the USPS address change website. It never told me how much I was being charged. I typed in my debit card, and that was it. My card was charged $179 ?? I was so frantic about the move, and should have paid closer attention, but I was very overwhelmed at the time.

- Norcross, GA, USA

Asked for credit card info. I gave it to them for a "redelivery fee'

- Phoenix, AZ, USA

I got a text stating my address was incorrect so they weren't able to deliver my package so I went to the link in the text and entered my home address and debit card information

I thought it was USPS where you pay $1.10 to notify change of address. The website is definitely disguised for you to think it is in fact USPS.

When i went to change my mailing address online through what i thought was USPS i was reroughted to another site that looks legitimate, however after i put in all my peraonal information and my bank information in to be able to chnage my address i was notified by my bank of a charge for $350 from the site i had been sent to from USPS! I now have to wait two full weeks for a new bank card and have no idea who has my personal information!

I was attempting to do an online address change and website looked just like the legitimate United States postal service website but it was a scammer site . The post office only charges 1.10, it appeared legitimate with no amount till I checked my account like an hour later and I was charged 179.00

Received a text requesting payment for redelivery fee for package that wasn’t able to be delivered for unknown reason.

The scammer contacted me through text message and tried to make me pay a redelivery fee for my "incomplete address USPS shipment". Had I been unaware of redelivery costs not being charged by USPS I would have gotten scammed.

- Houston, TX, USA

Received a text message from +60 11 3749 8464 stating the following: “U.S.P.S - The package has arrived at the warehouse and cannot be delivered due to incomplete address information.Confirm your address at the link. https://upugi.top (Copy the link to your Safari browser and open it)”

Without thinking I went to the site and it took me to a reputable looking site that looked identical to the USPS website and asked for me to reconfirm the address for the package I did so, including address name phone number and email (entering the name and address of a friend because this was intended to be a present).

Clicking next, it then asked for a payment of $0.30, thirty cense. I filled out no payment information and then backed closed the site.
