In the past two days we have had three patient that we know of receive these calls. The number on the caller id has been that of our Coram office (631-698-1111) and the callers said their names were Alex, Tom and/or Mark. One patient, they asked patients for her visa credit card info and threatened that if she didn’t pay her balance that she would not get her medications and would not be welcomed back to the office. She was harassed in three different calls. The other two patients were husband and wife, both called separately and told there was an issue with their Medicare number and asked the patients to repeat the number. The patient was suspicious and called the Coram office back.
