Called my homeline (which basically NEVER gets used) asking to speak my mother. The man's voice is pressing and tells me that I need to pass along a phone number and case number for her to reach back out due to process serving needed. He hesitated and i've received these type of fraudulent calls throughout the years so I could tell. Wanted to share my experience because without my finding this website and this one person sharing their experience, I would be worried. ALWAYS remember that if you are being served papers, you will be SERVED, not have a number call you. Also you will receive something in the mail at the least. NEVER give your information over the phone. Be safe!

I received a phone message asking if I knew someone named Linda. My sister is named Lynda. The phone number that the message came from was 531-XXX-XXXX, Fremont NE. The message said “This is Mike with process service verification, and we are making our final attempt to serve a court summons to the property address attached to this phone record. The documents require a signature for proper service and delivery delivery someone over the HOA team must be present and available Contact the issuing agent legal department for further information at 8 5 5 -XXX-XXXXFailure to communicate with the office will result in penalties and find under title 18 section 15 0 1 you have been notified…” I decided to call the 855 number and argue with the scammer, and he couldn’t even tell me what title 18 1501 was, which happens to be assault on a process server and has nothing to do with this message. He got rather rude towards the end and told me to shut up a number of times before hanging up on me. I guess I annoyed him lol!

Received a voice mail saying “this is location specialist Mary Biggs calling today in reference I do have to make you aware that once this claim is filed it does become public record your name and your social are affiliated with this claim you need to contact the filing party before you appear at your home or your job with your documents you do have the legal right to contact the filing party that number is 833-887-1418 good luck I'll see you soon”
