The individual used the name "David". I sent a message requesting further information on a rental property in Medina. This man offered it to me for 500 stating the price on the website is for rent-to-own only and if I am renting then 500 would be the rent. I took a ride out there and found it was way too far to travel for me. I informed him via text and he asked what areas am I seeking. I told him Berea. He guided me to a home on Rently with the property company of Imagine Homes. There was a photo of a home in Berea which the price was showing as over 1800 monthly on the website. The man said it's only 900 to rent. I am not able to move until July. I asked if this could happen. He said he has someone else that's ready to pay two months in advance to rent the home. He states that since I was first he was going to wait for my answer. He asked if I was interested in the property. I replied "yes". He said that he would need 900 now to hold until July. I was then a bit suspicious and asked how the payment would be made as I didn't see a payment portal on Imagine Homes website. He said the payment is directly to him. He offered to take my CC number, but said my bank account is easier for him to process the payment. I immediately requested documentation of a payment form, further information on the property and Imagine Homes along with his full name and title. He ignored this request and immediately said that he will call me right back. 45 minutes passed and he sent a link for payment via text to me. This link was to a website called Jotform. Reviewing the website, I found that it's a website to set up your own documents and can even accept payments. The form that was sent to me was extremely generic. It had Imaging Homes listed at the top of the page, but no company contact information was on the form. I replied to the man that I am not comfortable with any of this and thanked him for his time. He replied instantly, ok.

I googled his contact number and found that there are scam reviews about his number and other names were used.

I checked the website link he sent to me today and his document was "disabled".

The reviews I have read with the common contact number is a total SCAM!!!!

Please review/investigate this situation as it has happened to many vulnerable individuals.
