I initially put out a post on facebook asking, "Who works for insurance ??

Can be claims or any other form.

I'm looking for a change of pace, preferably working from home.

HMU please.

Linda-Darlene Direct messaged me immediately.

The conversation through DM looked like this:

Linda-Darlene: I forgot to mention if you would like your spouse to join you, he is more than welcome to attend the overview with you.

I sent Okay, one more question is it like a 9-5 Or we set our own hours

Linda-Darlene :You set your own hours & work around your schedule.

I sent: :Oh wow ok

Linda-Darlene :It's nice... We can work remotely or in a local office.

I sent :Nice

Linda-Darlene :You live in Pasadena too?

I sent: I'm scared but I'm ready for a change for a little while while I finish school

I sent :Yes I do

I sent: I feel like my job now takes so much time away from my 6 year old

I sent: I work 8-7

Linda-Darlene: Come check it out... It may or may not be for you but at least come see what we're all about. I have 5 children... 16, 14, 10, 6 & 6. Baseball Mom & Twin mom. I love the flexibility & that I'm my own boss.

When I attended as her guest, I brought my husband and a friend. After the orientation, Coach Flor asked me when I could start. They pressured me, stating that I would be investing in myself, and even tried to get me to pay $597.00 - $199 for each of us, me, my husband, and my friend.

I informed them that I could only pay for myself at the moment, and Coach Flor said that's great, asking when I could pay. I told her Sunday 06/16/2024. She wasn't satisfied with that and even approached my husband, making comments like, "I know that if you really needed something or wanted to go somewhere like a concert, you would find any means to get the money." They were very pushy in their attempts to get all of us to pay the $199.00.

Upon signing up, I was under the impression that I had a 30-day window to receive my refund. I only participated in one day of class, which took place on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The content of the class mainly focused on recruiting other agents to sign up and pay the $199.00, and after that class I realized that I was not interested in pursuing a career with this company. I did not acquire any knowledge on selling life insurance which was my main reason for joining or any related topics. I expect the company to honor the refund promise made by Linda Guerrero at the time of my $199 payment. If I had known that I only had 3 days to decide whether to continue with the company, I would not have joined. I never signed any paperwork, and when I asked for my refund, the support agent stated.

We are sorry to see you go, We have located and deactivated your account, and you will no longer be charged any fees. If you wish to have your account reactivated, please let us know.

Regarding your refund, unfortunately, we are unable to process it due to the request being sent to us outside of the 3-day grace period. I see you signed your New Agent Agreement on 6/20/24 and per the New Agent Agreement you signed, you have accepted and acknowledged the refund guidelines.

I responded that I never signed any paper work and that if there was some paper work signed, it was fruad because I did not sign anything with them. I did however, give Linda my SS# so she could create an "account" for me as an agent. I also mentioned in the email that I paid cash and the response was,

You paid cash to someone, please contact them for your refund. Unfortunately, we aren't able to assist you.

Thank you

Patricia Carroll

The scammer goes by Emanuel Medina. He offered me a position as an insurance sales agent and explained what it is that an agent does. The interview lasted a few hours on Zoom and then he had asked me if I was up for the position but I required a license first. He asked for my information over the zoom call including my social security, credit card information, address, and name. All of this information was used on what I thought was a website for a state license. Looking more into this website it looked sketchy since the card he provided me with includes his personal email to contact him and some of the information listed does not make sense. This is my first scam and I have never experienced anything like this. He also runs the scam along with his wife and close family. He has my information and i am unsure if they will abuse it. He messaged me through messenger a social media platform and that’s where most of his information is at. His place of business is Medina Insurance Agency or PHP agency. [email protected]
