My husband and I was scammed by a company that I found on Facebook that does cabinet work. We both had a consultation with one of the employees of the company before we paid any money. I talked to the person and my husband did as well and he came off very sweet and understanding about what we wanted. He told us that everything would come included in the price. We told him that we want our cabinets painted as well as the kitchen and living room done and he quoted us a price. Young man name was Jay but when he contacted us for the consultation it came up as another name. His stage name which I didn’t mind because he does music as well. So once we had the consultation he came to the house once we paid 25% upfront and then he stated before he started he would need another 25% so we paid 50% upfront. He told us the job would take 5-7 days and he doesn’t work the weekends. So Monday he came which was November 8th and he came at 9 am as we discussed and the next day the 10th he came late due to another job before coming to our home and started working but he left early. The next day he came which was the 11th he came late again but this time no excuse and then he left early that was the last time we saw him. We went to see his progress and when we realized he would not be done with the cabinets in the time frame we agreed to we let him know to just do the cabinets. He never responded after and we never seen him again. We reached out through email for him to send a email back saying review refund policy but the refund policy didn’t have anything to do with why we shouldn’t receive a refund because the work was not finished and the person left without telling us why or what happened. Please do not use this company and be cautious of any other company who wants you to pay upfront. I will never pay upfront again. We ended up getting another company to fix his mess up but it put us in a hole. Now we have to build our savings back up due this scammer.
