I received a call in October 2019 trying to sell me a magazine subscription. I was promised 5 magazines of my choosing for a fee of $28.49 per month. I was told I had to commit to a certain number of years, 2 or 5 (I can't remember). I did not start receiving any magazines until February 2020. I received 2 magazines, but randomly chosen ones, not the ones discussed on the phone and not ones I had chosen. I was promised a startup packet which would allow me to choose the magazines. I did not receive this and since I had no contact info or company name, I had no one to contact to complain. In August I noticed 2 charges on my account with the word magazine in them and I called the listed number to cancel. They promised to cancel the account and reimburse me. They canceled the 2 charges (charged in July). I did not realize until now that they had continued to charge my account using various business listings, sometimes with no name, sometimes as Pioneer Publishing, sometimes as RS Magazines. In looking back and connecting these random charges, I now recognize that they have charged me over $450 over the last 15 months!
