In November of 2021, the company Pixels Logo Design approached me through email, stating that someone was trying to take the name of my business, "***** **** *** ***," which was legally established in California in 2018. My business is still in good legal standing in the state of Virginia. Pixels Logo Design was the company that assisted me in creating my logo and name in 2018. In 2021, they made me believe that someone wanted to take my name and logo and told me that to save its current existence, I had to apply for my trademark, and they could help me with it. They told me I needed a lawyer, and someone tried to take my business name. Over 2.5 years, I have given them 23,444$ to correct this, and they are still sending emails that my application is incomplete with the USPTO and that I still owe them more money. Every time I send them money, they confirm that I will not have to give them any more money and that my trademark is complete. I have numerous emails from them stating different things, with multiple phone numbers coming from all over the United States with varying points of contact every time. I finally realized this was a scam, and they are still trying to go after me for more money. I have told them I feel I have been scammed, and they get nasty. Then, I follow up with an email telling me to send them more money. Then, a new person will call me, and the whole process will start again. Specifically, they currently tell me I owe them $ 1800$ to continue the application fee when my so-called lawyer said I would no longer need to pay anything. But then she sends me an email stating I do. The phone numbers continuously change. I have repeatedly told them I am uncomfortable and feel this is a scam. I do not know how to get my money back if possible. I run a small, thriving business that has been scammed. Can you please help me?
