August of 2021, this same scammer, who had now "befriended" my dad over the phone, convinced him to create an LLC called Plaid Solutions. He convinced my father that he was "starting up a new computer repair" business. He convinced him that he needed my father to deposit checks that were mailed to him and then wire the money to the scammer. Over a quarter of a million dollars was transacted in 4 months. We all were not aware of the situation, unfortunetly.
In December 2021, the scammer created a ScamPulse.com file for Plaid Solutions which included my father's name and personal address but included the scammer's phone number 816-399-5404. Thankfully, because of this phone number, I was able to Google it and track it back to a police FB post from Ames Police Department detailing the tech support scam (See attached picture). With this evidence, we were finally able to convince my father to go to the local police, then the FBI & FTC.
Currently, you have another company Seminole Computer Services in Tallahassee with another one of the scammer's phone numbers. We are not associated with that company, however, and it looks as though there are multiple complaints on the ScamPulse.com page already.
Other phone numbers include: 870-782-0786. The scammer called himself Kevin Jacksi (though we don't believe that's his actual name). He has been calling my father repeatedly, but we have no idea why as my father won't answer.
I have already spoken to ScamPulse.com VA about removing the Plaid Solutions page. They were very kind and it looks like they removed his name for now. The Goochland Police Department has any other information.
My father is what is known as a "money mule".
