11.06.2020 While going over my bank statement I noticed a charge of $39.99 taken out by playopoly. I went back further and found that for two consecutive mo They charged me $1 each mo. Then for 3 mo after that they charged me $39.99 each mo. Their contact number is 877.371.3923 I promptly called them as I had signed up for nothing. They agreed to put all the money back into my acct. Which they did two days later. Much to my dismay I find that yesterday 11.12.2020 they again took a withdrawal of $39.99. I'm going to call them again today. When I called the first time they said my debit card # didn't match anything they had and asked for my email address. With supposedly without that info they miraculously were able to access my bank acct. My advice is Don't sign up for Anything that has a free trial period and keep a close eye on your bank acct so you can spot anyone taking your money without authorization. I'll be checking mine daily.

A website books-online.club appeared to have access to an ebook, advertised as free access. It asked for my name, address, email and credit card details. The site assures that the access is free, but requires your credit card details in case you wish to purchase any items from them in future. After inputting the information, it redirects you to Playopoly which said I had a five day free membership and afterwards would be on a membership plan. It also had already charged a small amount to my credit card. It didn't have the ebook I'd wanted access to in the first place and I've had to speak to my credit card company to try to cancel the transaction.
The original site asking for sign up for the ebook is https://books-online.club/books/signup-ramble/#/z=OCkjgPrOaa7UnkHcuFMoDt/theme=d...⇄

The website ebooksfree.biz advertised that I would have legal and legitimate access to the textbook "Signing Naturally (student workbook) Units 1-6 ISBN: 978-1-58121-210-5" which I need for a current college course upon creating a membership to their site through the read now link. This link took me to a page requiring my name address and credit card information stating it will not be used until the free trial period has ended and I upgrade membership. When i completed this page I found out I was not on the same site but taken to Playopoly and the books advertised were not available on this site. I believe one or both of these two companies (Playopoly or ebooksfree) is fraudulent, and they obtained and shared personal identifying information and credit card information under false pretenses without my personal consent as I did not know the name of the company until after they acquired my information.
All book links on the page (http://ebooksfree.biz/) link to the page (https://mymediarecommendations.com/ms/books?dp=1090127840.535464.fd3dcdf990.256...⇄ where the personal and credit card info is collected and when you hit submit it then forwards you to the site (https://playopoly.com/support.php) where the book data base containg none of the books the first site mentions is located.
