I received a telephone call from Amy Watson, Underwriting Department PNC Home Mortgage ( Direct # 1-210-891-2414; Fax # 1-806-496-4160) Making Home Affordable .Gov ( HAMP Program) This information was provided in the packet that was emailed to me. Amy Watson telephoned me to find out why I did not complete the packet that was suppose to have been mailed to me in April. I was contacted the second week in May. The letter attached to the packet states: "Congratulations! You are approved to enter into a trial period plan under the Home Affordable Modification Program. This is the first step toward qualifying for more affordable mortgage payments. Please read this letter so that you understand all the steps you need to take to modify your mortgage payments. What you need to do... to accept this offer, you must make your first monthly "trial period payment". To qualify for a permanent modification, you must make the following trial payments in a timely manner: 1st payment $1, 073.54 by 5/2/2022 initial Trial Acceptance Payment. 2nd payment $1,073.54 by 6/01/2022. 3rd payment $1, 073.54 by 7/1/2022. After all trial period payments are timely made and you have submitted all the required documents, your mortgage will be permanently modified. ( Your existing loan and loan requirement remain in effect and unchanged during the trial period). If each payment is not received by PNC Home Mortgage in the month in which it is due, this offer will end and your loan will not be modified under the Making Home Affordable program." The Last page of the packet was the Acceptance and Acknowledgement of Acceptance of MHA Trial Agreement. It required my signature and social security number. I signed the document and scanned and sent it back. It states that my interest rate will be 2.85%.

I am not having any issues with my mortgage. These people ( Amy Watson BUT mainly Emmanuel Watson is the one who continued to call and harass me for the money). I stated numerous times that I am not have issues with my mortgage and that I am current with my mortgage. I Do Not have any problems with my mortgage. Emmanuel informed me that it does not matter because you have been paying your mortgage on time you can qualify for this service ( HAMP). He told me to go and get two $500.00 gift cards from target which would be my first payment. My second payment will be $1,073.54 plus the $73.54 from the first payment. After my $1, 000.00 payment, I received a payment receipt on 5/18/22 about one hour later. The payment date was 4/25/2022. Emmanuel stated that he can back date the payment since I missed the original deadline for HAMP. I was having second thoughts about this after the first payment was made. I expressed my concerns about the terms of this program prior to my initial payment. Emmanuel assured me multiple time that this was legal and not a scam. I refused to make the second payment until my mortgage amount was decreased. He continued to call me for the additional payments. I contacted my mortgage company which happens to be PNC and they knew nothing about this modification program. In the packet, it listed the HOPE hotline 1-888-995-4673 to inquire about this program. I was informed that this was a scam and that the HAMP Program ended in late 2016. I was also informed the mortgage underwriters do not speak with customers. I have since blocked my telephone number. I was also informed by Emmanuel Watson that I will not receive my $1,000.00 back.
