To whom it may concern,
On Wednesday, May 27 2020, I expressed my interest in a Shih Tzu puppy named Flynn from a website named Poety Shihtzu Homes/Poetyshistzuhomes.com. My communication was strictly through the website messaging system. I received an email back at 3:58 pm thanking me for my interest. At this time, I received an email in return asking me some general questions to make sure they were sending the puppy to a good home. I responded via email with my answers. I was notified that I would be able to purchase Flynn. At this time, I received back a detailed email about the puppy including information on the age of the puppy, registration, current vaccine, adoption requirements, etc. In addition, pictures of Flynn were also sent via email from the so called, business.
The next email I received was on May 27, 2020 at 5:01 pm describing the next steps required and what the $ 620.00 fee included. In addition to “free shipping,” which was a service of the so called, business. It asked for my name, address, contact phone number and nearest airport. At
5:42 pm I received an email requesting payment for the puppy. It indicated the puppy would ship the following morning. The next thing that was requested was to send $ 620.00 through the CASH app to be paid to a $christiandior10 (aka Christian Wilson according to the CASH app.) The seller requested a screen shot of the transaction. Miscellaneous emails continued throughout the evening including informing me that the puppy could be delivered to me free from the airport if I was within 300 miles from the airport, which I am approximately 74 miles one way to Detroit Metro Airport.
On Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 9:42 am, I received an email notifying me that the puppy was registered and it provided a tracking number E5F304878512 with the hyperlink: https://firstclass-shippers.com/track-shipemnt/ I was told not to miss emails or calls during this time and to watch my spam folder. Then I started to receive information notifying me that the seller brought the puppy in a crate that was approved for shipping. I did forward this email to the seller and she seemed confused by the situation and then emailed me a picture of the supposed crate that the dog was supposedly in when the shipper dropped the dog off to First Class shippers. Basically, it was a request from the shipping service that I would have to pay an additional fee which was $980.00. When the puppy was delivered, I was to receive $ 950.00 refunded. Basically, they said it was an overall rental fee of $ 30.00. The day was spent trying to figure out how to get the shipping company that amount of money ASAP. At time I was so excited, and worried about the puppy sitting at the shipping service. The shipping service told me I could go to different business to obtain an Amazon Gift certificate for the $ 980.00, which I refused. Eventually, they informed me that I could transfer the money via Western Union and to choose “in minutes.” The tracking no. (MTCN) 826-819-2040 to Imran Squires 30 Isabella St 84 Pittsburgh, PA 15212. When transferring the money, I accidently input $ 990.00. There was a transfer fee for this transaction which was for $ 114.99. Total Amount = 1,114.99. By the end of Thursday evening, I was told that there were no flights available for the puppy to be shipped and that he would be shipped in the morning.
On Friday, May 29, 2020 at approximately 9:45 am, I emailed First Class Shippers to get an update on Flynn, the puppy. Within minutes, I received another email indicating that the puppy needed insurance for the flight. The company claimed it would cost $ 980.00, which would be fully refunded after the puppy was delivered safely to my home. Of course, by this time, I was beside myself! I was not financially prepared for all of the extra cost that was be requested. Of course, all I could think about is the poor puppy. At this time, I did make the attempt to transfer another $980.00 via Western Union. Western Union declined the transfer, which then I received an email to call customer service at Western Union. I followed the instructions and called. The customer service representative asked be for a little background regarding my transaction(s). She educated me about the possibility of my situation be related to puppy scam/fraud. I am so grateful for Western Union saving me another $980.00. The Western Union transaction remained cancelled. Tracking No. (MTCN) 288-142-1860.
I immediately emailed Poety Shihtzu Homes and asked them to call me back ASAP. Miscellaneous emails were received, but the seller never called me back. I also went on CASH app and made a request from $christiandior10 for a refund, which obviously he declined.
I began making phone calls to the only numbers that were available through all the emails.

I called the above number above, and the person did respond to the name of Christian. He was foreign speaking. The voice appeared to be the same voice of the man on the recording at First Class Shippers, who did return my call. (202)217-6745 Is a number located at the bottom of an itinerary I received. I called and left a message to call me asap, as I was concerned about the condition and safety the puppy. I did eventually receive a call back. I verbally confronted the individual and told him that he won’t be receiving any more money until I can get a photo or video as proof of Flynn’s current location and well-being. I also requested the man contact the seller and have him call me right away. He insisted that it was not a scam. I told the caller he has made a big mistake and I called him out on his fraudulent business scam.
Now looking back, there was so many red flags! I laid out everything in front of me! What a nightmare! The worst thing about this situation is the puppy was supposed to distract me and help me through the grief, sadness, anxiety and panic attacks from the loss of my son who committed suicide. So, I obviously was totally blind sided.
Obviously, I have a trail of all emails and financial transactions if they needed to be forwarded. I am hoping that the involved individuals are caught and can’t cause any other consumers the heart break and most likely the financial loss. If the individuals are able to be caught I really need to get my money returned ASAP. During these difficult times, I cannot afford the financial loss, totaling $ 1,724.99.
I have filed a complaint though Western Union, Federal trade Commission and the FBI!
Please make EVERY ATTEMPT TO CATCH these individuals and remove their websites!
