March 2018- My mother, for years, has had a paid subscription for POGO (EA games). She was in the hospital and missed her subscription renewal by a week and couldn't access her account. Not wanting to bother me, she Googled POGO contact info. She didn't realize she got a THIRD PARTY tech support company~ She let them gain remote access to her computer, they resolved her issue, and then proceeded to talk her into buying their Security Support Membership for 3 years and a substantial savings- For only $459! Attached a screenshot icon to her computer screen with the name of the service tech- Daniel Smith- and phone #, etc. They wanted her credit card #, but she said no, so they said she could mail them a check- She did. The check was made out to IT Overhead. Fast Forward to August- Normally, my mom is VERY Cautious about SCAM phone calls, BUT she HAD bought Tech Support!! So she pressed the button to talk to someone- They said that the company was closing and they had to refund people.... They needed to remote access her computer~ she let them because "they had before", so she thought- Conveniently, this SPAM phone call came in on a Friday night stating she was due a refund for her security software she purchased for her computer. They wanted her bank PIN# and info in order to give the refund. She said she didn't have a PIN #, so the man said she could do Western Union. She's never done W.U., so he told her what to do and how it was to be made out. He would have to call her back Monday afternoon~ Since then, her computer hasn't been working right or staying on, prompting the call to me! Now, Obviously she wasn't going to answer on Monday, but mistakenly did while waiting for another call and didn't look at her Caller ID- She says hello and the voice says, Hi Cheryl, You remember me? It's Daniel Smith ( completely different phone #)!! Mom's a wreck, I call IT Overhead & get no answer- A short time later, my phone rings back with a person on the other end- Sam Watson- I gave my mother's name, ask if she's in their system- at 1st he says no- As I went on stating why I was calling, his story changed multiple times. He even called me back to tell me he found her in the system and that Yes- she had paid them money~ This was after I said the police were involved! He said that if my mother wasn't satisfied, she was certainly entitled to a refund. Not only is she not satisfied, she doesn't have use of her computer any longer~ I've had email contact with the supposed "head" of IT Overhead- Edward- which just from the broken English in the email, I know is a SCAM- besides, back in August, I was receiving multiple phone calls at my house to talk about the "Refund Process"- from an Abdul and Sam. This is where I LINKED the 2 companies, possibly~ In the day and age of Caller ID, people tend to make mistakes... and someone from IT Overhead made that mistake. On Wed., August 15th- Not only did "Abdul" call my home TWICE stating he was from IT Overhead- at 3:13pm & 3:16pm, and left a message to call him regarding the refund process- My caller ID read POGO WEB- 1-800-815-3479! Then Sam Watson called 15 minutes later stating the same exact thing- with the caller ID reading IT Overhead- 1-800-806-1460. Edward agreed to send my mother a check for $200 and she still hasn't received anything!

If you type in the above phone number for POGO WEB, you will get the website pogocentrum.xyz/about with the same exact address!! The site states unavailable right now- But it was available in August!!! BE CAREFUL!!!! My mom could have gotten taken for A LOT more and she is VERY careful, usually!!!!! She lost $459 to them plus $400 for a new computer!
