I have been getting calls annually to donate to this group and thought it was for our police, so I felt obligated to donate. This year the call was more demanding and not as professional. I relented and donated $20. Since then, I have been receiving 1-3 calls per day asking for donations. I also believe my number was shared with vacation rental companies because I have started getting calls about that also. Today I received a letter stating it is an appeal for me to donate $20 again. It is for the Police and Troopers Relief Foundation (www.leorf.org). The address is: PO BOX 44200, West Allis WI 53214-7200. The phone numbers vary so I cannot block them. They are also with local area codes. My mother is gravely ill and has many appointments, so I have to answer each call. It has been very distressing to get the calls multiple times each day. When I tell them to take my number off their calling list, they hang up on me.
