Called saying daughter had rear ended a pregnant woman's car while speeding and talking on her cell phone. Needed 12K for bail. Original called identified himself as a police officer advising we would be getting a call from an attorney in 5 minutes. Fake attorney did then call and Identified himself as a public defender. Tried to negotiate down to getting 6K. Said daughters phone had been confiscated as evidence so she could not be reached by phone. Put woman on phone impersonating daughter who was extremely distraught. Things didn't add up so we did some research contacting daughter who was actually working and as a result realized it was a scam.
