The scammer pretended to be a reshipping employer and offered a job to my family member but refused to provide the proper employment paperwork after collecting all of my family member’s personal information including their bank information and social security number. My family member realized the company itself is fake and requested to no longer be affiliated and for their personal information to be deleted. My family member also tried to return the package they received back to sender but was instructed by Amazon customer service to keep the items in the package after providing customer service with the package shipping information. The scammer has now been harassing my family member and threatening legal action for the items in the package. My family member believes they have now sold his personal information and may be using it to make illegal purchases.
