Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Beauty Bar. He paid online upfront as is our policy. He later inquired about ready to ship options. I
prepared the large order. He wanted me to include an additional $1000 to the invoice and then to transfer
the extra $1000 to his wife's PayPal Account ([email protected]). When I told him I was not
comfortable with this arrangement, he requested to cancel his first order but have it refunded to his wife's
PayPal account instead of the credit card he used to place the first order. In hopes of closing the second
order I made an exception to our no returns on pre-order policy even though production had started. He
tried 3 different credit cards to pay for the second order all with different billing addresss & eventually
never paid the final order. While we didn't directly loose money to him, holding products for a month
around the holidays, spending countless hours on the phone with Ron & his wife trying to sort things out &
producing items we would not have made is costly for our small business.
