Type of a scam Online Purchase
A charge for $10.67 for S & H on October 17th payable to AAA was made.
Then on November 3 a deduction was shown for $74.97 in my account to Ultimate Quality, that I didn't recognize. Attempted to make a search on line and nothing was found.
Called my credit union, canceled my debit card from further deductions. Made a claim.
On November 8th, received a letter from the credit union saying I had a previous transaction with the company. Called the credit union this morning asking when the previous transaction occurred and the customer service person referred me to the date I had registered as AAA.
Called AAA and the person I spoke with told me they were aware of the scam and working on it.
So, the letter from the credit union revealed that the company posing as AAA is registered as ULTIMATE QUALITY AFFORDA CA , phone #844-6671548.
I called this number and spoke with someone who said I was basically gullible enough to fall for this scam, said I was canceling a subscription (so if I hadn't caught this they would have attempted to make additional deductions).
