They use and still are using the Amazon logo and had pictures of Amazon products. They claimed they were returned items but unopened items from returns. They had a list of things that were in there and I purchased the medium size box They also said if contacted within 24 hours you can cancel. Which I did but the email address they use is different than what is on the site. I did get a response from them using the email I put on this form but it wasn't to cancel just to state that they were reputable. I clearly said cancel yet three more times. Then I get an email saying my order was shipped and the tracking number is not valid. I should of known better but the Amazon logo and pics threw me off. I am an 63 year old disabled woman on a fixed income and I feel foolish and frustrated

I did not answer the call, it went to voicemail. There was music playing in the beginning. I believe the message left may have been a partial message and it was an automated voice speaking. I contacted Amazon and they said my account is safe. Just in case I changed my password with Amazon.

The exact message left on my voicemail was "Amazon. This call is to authorize the payments of $1499 for the recent order of Apple Macbook Pro on your Amazon account. If you do not authorize this payment, please press one to speak to our customer support representative."

First call claimed to be an Amazon representative named Jason Givens discussed an account # AZ5550018 , Claim SA 7016740 said someone is ordering a 1600.00 IPAD. Our response was NO this is not correct. Then claimed they were transferrring the call over to some investigation office since it appears your identity was stolen,

Then a second person claims to be a Chief Investigator of the Social Security Agency named Arun Bangalor at 410-989-6589 going on and on about my hudsband's identity has been stolen and packages of drugs are being found with his name and address on them. This person told my hudsband to go to the bank and transfer all the money out because it will be seized by the FEDS. The whole thing was a scare scam suggesting he is in big trouble because someone has stole his identity and is breaking the law.

I know amazon doesn't call you to resolve issues, and they definitely dont call you from a number that comes up as Nadene Holland in the Caller ID. I told them to not call me and that I was reporting the number. They hung up. Agent had a middle eastern accent

I was asked to verify a charge to my amazon account. When I denied it, I was transferred to, what I was told, Amazon customer service. I was told I had 3 open amazon accounts and was asked if I had opened all of those. I said no, I only have one. She then told me this was definitely fraud and told me she was transferring me to the fraud department and gave me an Amazon Reference ID 754122909 for my case. The man that answered identified himself as Brian Jackson with the Department of Social Security Administration in Washington DC and informed me that he believes my identity had been compromised. He asked questions about my amazon account and then informed me that my name is on 22 overseas bank accounts, there are 15 credit cards in my name and that I also have 9 properties with my name on it and that they believe I am part of a money laundering scheme. I was told I have 2 options 1. to work through this myself and basically said good luck or 2 cooperate with him and work through this together to clear my name and find the real perpetrators. He did not ask for any personal information other than the name of my bank and how many accounts and the balances, along with how many credit cards, the balances and credit limits and if I had a 401K and what company that was with. Through the course of our conversation he gave me his badge no IRC849623 and his phone number of 410-826-1229. He also directed me to a website so that I could verify his identity. I was told that due to his findings my social security number had been compromised and that he was suspending it. He told me that it takes 24 hours to issue a new card and that two officers from the bureau would be delivering it to me the next day and asked what time would work for me and where. I was suspicious but it sounded so real and I wanted to get my name cleared. I was told that I couldn't tell anyone about this because he didn't want me to blow the investigation. Then he told me I had to go to my bank and withdraw all the money from my accounts and put it into a safety locker, and then proceeded to explain what a safety locker was. If I didn't do this, my accounts would be seized and I wouldn't be able to access any of that money for 9 years. He also told me that I couldn't put him on hold or mute, that the line needed to stay open and when I got to the bank he would tell me exactly what to say to the teller. I then told him that I hadn't taken a shower yet and was not going to go to the bank unshowered. He told me no problem, just plug my phone in to maintain a full battery and leave him on the line. I told him that I was very unsure about all of this and that it just didn't feel right, he told me that I had to pull myself together so that we can move on and prevent this from happening to other innocent people, like myself. He told me that if it made me feel better I could call him at the number he gave me to prove that this was legit. I did call him back and of course, he answered. At that point I was very shook but couldn't manage to think of how to move forward. I told him I was going to go take a shower and brought the phone into another room to charge it then shut the door and went back to my office to call a friend from my computer. As soon as she answered and I gave her a quick run down, I knew this was a scam and I felt incredibly stupid. I then went back and hung up the phone, he called right back and when I didn't answer, called back again. I didn't answer the 2nd time and have not heard anything since. This man was extremely well trained. He used voice inflections, empathy, just a little bit of frustration would come through when I re-asked questions. He told me about himself, his family, his job, he had an Indian accent and told me when he came to America, where he went to college, how long he worked before he was promoted to Senior Lead Investigator, how many others he has helped. It was an incredibly scary ordeal for me and like I said before, I feel incredibly stupid for falling for it.

- Muskegon, MI, USA

I received a call from an unknown Muskegon, MI number. The recording said that someone had charged over $300.00 on my Amazon account, and asked if that was my charge. They said if it was, then ignore the call, and, if it wasn't, then to call a number they gave me. I figured it was a scam and hung up. They called the next day, but I was still unable to get the number they called from.

- Marion, MI, USA

They called claiming to be with Amazon and that I had a $900 purchase that was being sent to someone in Ohio. They asked me to download an app- quick support. But they didn't want me to open my Amazon account they wanted to get me to download this app first before they where going to send me over to accounting to get a stop payment. I then started to question then amount my account and my last purchase and I asked who they where and wanted to make sure they aren't the scammers and then they hung up....

Contacted by phone to confirm the purchase of new Apple Iphone. When I stated this was fraud, the agent wanted me to grant him access to my computer to process the credit. He became short and rude.

- Marne, MI, USA

Recorded message said there is a purchase on our credit card with amazon for 149.99 and if we did not make that purchase to call Amazon support at 414-251-3291. We did not call that number but checked by contacting our credit card company directly because we did not make any such purchase. We were correct that no such charge was on our credit card. Also reported to Amazon that someone is using their company name to scam people. Can't believe it that while typing this just got another similar call saying our account was charged $599.00 and if not to call 205-946-5064 immediately. That call came from 504-383-6623 "Morgan Annette ".
