Received a friend request from a good friend's mother. I accepted & was sent a FB message asking how was I & had I ever heard of CFDA. We messaged back & forth, eventually ask what was my phone number so we can text. Was told to give personal information but never my banking information. Did ask my income. Ultimately, I was told that I was awarded $200,000 but would need to send $5,000 for fees. Entire time had been googling info I was given to verify. I tried to tell her it was a scam. She tried to convince me otherwise. Ended up calling my friend to let her know what her mother was going to do. Apparently someone had duplicated her Facebook page & was using it to scam others.
