Our business received an email that appears to be an Invoice for a 3 year membership to The Geek Squad. There is an invoice number of #30916489 an Invoice date of Dec 15, 2023 and claims it is due upon receipt. The Contact us information is 7407 North Fwy, 1209 Houston, TX 77076, but when I looked up the area code, it said it was from Florida, the Tampa Bay area. They apparently want it paid by credit card because there is a note: Thank you for your business - we appreciate it very much. Invoice amount will reflect in your bank account shortly. I kept a printed copy of the email.

Emailed about geek squad renewal

- Muskegon, MI, USA

I needed to have my laptop computer fixed. I have a yearly subscription with Geek Squad, so I clicked on their supposed website. Went through the normal initial diagnostic routine and then was transferred to a tech. Ran tests and showed me a report that stated my computer, entire internet, other computer and phone, were infected. It would cost $249.00 yo fix it for one year/wasn't covered under normal subscription. Stupidly, I agreed. After a few hours, it was supposedly fixed. When he was asking for payment, he said to write out a check and send him a pic of it. No credit card was needed. That was an immediate red flag. I stopped and asked him what company he was with and he said Geek Care. I told him he had messed me up/falsely represented himself and then I tried to take control of my computer. He fought against me online for control and tried to start deleting stuff. I immediately shut down my computer. He called me but I didn't answer and I blocked the number. I don't know what he did to my computer (or internet), now so I have to call the real Geek Squad tomorrow and have them access any damage. This Geek Care place does have my home address, so I'm concerned that I will get a bill. I don't know how they managed to clone Geek Squad's website but I was sure I was contacting Geek Squad when I clicked on that link.

I believe that I have been a victim of a phishing scam, I keep getting victicious e-mail's from Geek Squad claiming that I have an Annual Subscription for their Security Services under Best Buy I never authorized any type of Subscription for Security Services under Geek Squad with Best Buy. I would like the victicious e-mail's to Stop being sent to my email address

They say i have a 2 year renewal on my computer, they are found under [email protected]. Bogus and fraud

Called them to cancel and wanted to reimburse me by going into my banking to put the money back but instead they made a mistake by putting to much in my account and wanted me to reimburse them thru gift card.
